Chen Lamdan, CEO of international shipping company Orian, hosted 1,500 people this weekend for an Oktoberfest event at the company's huge headquarters in Rosh HaAyin.
Senior figures in Israel's business world as well as top businesspeople from abroad arrived for the celebrations.
Oktoberfest is the largest beer festival in the world, held annually in Munich.
Lamdan recruited Israeli-German chef Tom Franz, winner of the "Master Chef" television competition, for the event.
Orian is itself the representative in Israel of major German conglomerate DbSchenker.
Among those who arrived at the event were the company's chairman, former minister Ofir Pines-Paz; Metro CEO Gadi Aviram; the Castro clothing chain's CEO Gabriel Rotter; Arkia CEO Nir Dagan; Schenker USA President Malcolm Heath; director of El Al cargo Ronen Shapira, and many other businesspeople, including many chiefs of shipping companies and airlines.
