Russian Ambassador to Israel falls ill
Russian Ambassador to Israel Alexander Shein was rushed to Ichilov hospital in Tel Aviv Thursday night after falling ill at the beach side Manta Ray restaurant.
His situation is stable after going through a medical examination at the ICU.
Deputy Russian Ambassador to Israel Alexi Drobinin confirmed that the ambassador was, in fact, sent to the hospital, and said that “the ambassador is doing well now.”
The Ambassador was called to the Foreign Ministry offices in Jerusalem to be reprimanded over Russia’s support of a UN resolution calling Israeli construction in the West Bank illegal earlier in the week.
