Syrian foreign minister at UN: Israel aids terrorists, we'll take back the Golan
Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem attacked Israel during his speech at the UN General Assembly on Saturday, repeating claims that Israel has been aiding the rebels fighting to overthrow the Assad regime.
"It gave them various forms of support—money, equipment, weapons, means of communications—and even bombed Syrian army posts in aid of the terrorist plans," Muallem charged. "The unlimited Israeli aid to the terrorists does not surprise. They share interests and the goals."
He added that "Those who think the crisis (the civil war) can divert us, by even a millimeter, from our right to return the occupied Golan, are deluding themselves."
