Elderly Jewish man found dead in Kafr Qasim

Investigators examining possibility that 70-year-old Reuven Shmerling from Elkana, who had sustained serious injuries, was beaten to death by his own employees from the West Bank on his business premises in the Arab Israeli city east of Tel Aviv following a monetary dispute.

The body of 70-year-old Jewish man was found dead in a building in the industrial zone of Kafr Qasim Wednesday, with his body bearing signs of serious violence.
While the circumstances surrounding the man's death remain unknown, investigators are looking into the possibility that the victim, identified as Reuven Shmerling from Elkana, was murdered by his employees from the West Bank who worked on his business premises in which his body was found.

“When we arrived, people led us to the building where we saw a 70-year-old man lying on the floor who was not conscious or breathing and had no pulse,” one paramedic recalled upon arrival at the Israeli Arab city east of Tel Aviv.
