Terrorist sentenced to 16 years for attempted murder
The Jerusalem District Court sentenced Baha Awisat, 22, a resident of Jabel Mukaber, east Jerusalem, to 16 years in prison for attempted murder and illegal possession of a knife.
In October 2015, Awisat was waiting with a knife in the Nof Zion neighborhood to carry out a stabbing attack. A police officer asked him to identify himself but he refused and tried to stab the policeman.
