Some 40 masked Jewish settlers entered Burin, near Nablus, on Wednesday afternoon and hurled stones at Palestinians, saying it was retaliation for Palestinian stone-throwing at Israeli vehicles near the village.
IDF troops who arrived at the scene removed the settlers from the village. No one was hurt.
Settlers throwing stones at Palestinians
According to the settlers, Palestinians first threw stones at Israeli cars on the Gilad road near Burin, prompting some of the Israelis to exit their cars and throw stones back at the Palestinians. At the same time, the settlers also called security forces to the scene.

The Rabbis for Human Rights organization claimed the IDF force that arrived at the scene stood by while the Palestinians were attacked by the settlers.
This was the latest in a series of similar violent incidents between Palestinians and Jewish settlers in that area of the Samaria region. The violence started in clashes over the annual olive harvest, and was followed by a Palestinian being shot dead by a settler after a group of Palestinian rioters attacked a group of Israeli children.
