Bollywood delegation
A delegation of five Bollywood directors and producers visited Israel recently to scout out potential film locations.
Some of the many famous sites the group visited included: the Mahane Yehuda Market, Jerusalem's Old City, the Dead Sea, Rothschild Blvd. in Tel Aviv, Old Acre and the Carmel forests.
The delegation conducted meetings with leading members of the Israeli cinema industry and government representatives.
They discussed options for cooperating on films and possible perks that Israel would grant in the event that they choose to shoot a film in Israel.
"The members of the delegation were wowed by the variety of scenery in Israel and how, during a two hour journey, they went from a desert climate to the lush green coastal region," said Temi Ben Chaim, coordinator of the project for the Foreign Ministry.
"What the participants found most exciting was the straightforward Israeli approach which is very fitting for Bollywood," she added.
