State reaches voluntary evacuation agreement with Umm al-Hiran residents
The Authority for Development and Settlement of the Bedouin in the Negev has signed a voluntary evacuation agreement with residents of Umm al-Hiran.
Under the agreement, which was signed by about 170 residents, each family will receive a plot of land in the village of Hura for no return on which it will be able to build a home. The residents will also be compensated for their old buildings in accordance with Bedouin sector rules. The move cancels the demolition orders received by the residents recently.
