The IDF reportedly attacked a Hamas position with tank fire east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip on Saturday, killing four Palestinians, according to reports from Gaza.
After checking the Palestinian report, the IDF said it did not attack. The army said a fire broke out near the fence in the southern Gaza border, and it is checking whether it originates in a burning kite flown from the strip towards Israel.
The Hamas force stationed at that position is tasked with controlling the border fence area and prevent infiltration and rocket fire into Israel.
