Report: Target of attack on Syrian base was advanced Iranian air-defense system
Israel targeted an advanced Iranian air-defense system at a Syrian base last week, according to intelligence officials and others briefed on the matter, the Wall Street Journal reports.
According to two people briefed on the plan, Israeli officials told the Trump administration about the planned strike in advance so that the US was aware of their plans to directly target an Iranian base.
