Entitled "The Resurrection of a nation", the movie aims to explain the historic bond created throughout generations between the Jewish people and the Land of Israel.
The clip, which lasts over ten minutes, is narrated by Gila Almagor, and it was translated into 12 languages including Chinese, Russian, French, Spanish, Persian, Portuguese and German.
"The beautiful thing about this movie is that it has no militant elements. I can really relate to the movie's title—the resurrection of a nation. The part that moved me the most was Isreal's declaration of independence. I was a child at that time," Almagor reflected about the clip, which meant for Jewish and non-Jewish communities, schools, shows and fairs around the world.
The short movie tells the story of a Jewish family, taking its viewers through the generations, from the Kingdom of Judah to the present. Its goal is to emphasize the indelible bond between the Jewish people and its land as well as its longing to return to Israel.
Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yuval Rotem initiated the production of the movie which showcases the main events that paved the way to the establishment of the State of Israel such as the First Zionist Congress, the Balfour Declaration and events occurring after Israel's establishment, including Jerusalem's reunification and Egypt's president Anwar Sadat's visit to Jerusalem.
"We work tirelessly to convey Israel's message to the entire world. This is the heart of our work in public diplomacy," Rotem explained.
One hundred people participated in the production of the movie, a process that lasted for one year and that was led by Zug Production Company and the Fixlers Animation Studio.
The Director of Information and Communication Production Department in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs Mordechai Rodgold said the movie focuses on the Jewish people's cultural uniqueness and on their contribution to the world.
