The Dutch public broadcasting channel that broadcasted the parody of Netta Barzilai's Eurovision winning song "Toy" on Saturday responded to the formal complaint that it had received from the Israeli Embassy in Holland saying the parody is not anti-Semitic.
"In Sanne Wallis the Show, events of the past week are discussed in a satirical manner. Last week Israel winning the Eurovision song contest coincided with a flare-up in the conflict in the Gaza Strip," according to the public broadcasting channel's statement.
"The parody brings Israel's policy up for discussion and is emphatically not an indictment against the Jewish community."
