Syrian rebels plan to carry out chemical attack and accuse Assad
The Russian Defense Ministry said Saturday that the rebels in Syria are planning to carry out a chemical attack in the Syrian Idlib region, and then blame it on Assad's regime.
According to Moscow, this would give the West an excuse for attacking Syrian army positions in the region: "This is a new provocation aimed at accusing the Syrian regime of using chemical weapons against civilian population," a Russian statement read.
