After being released from Hamas captivity, 12-year-old Erez Calderon had a special visitor, Israeli music star Idan Raichel. Together, they played some music, with Calderon on trumpet and Raichel playing the ukulele.

The connection between the two began when Erez's brother, Rotem, played with Idan Raichel himself while his family was still captive.
While the mother and children were freed, their joy is far from complete because their father is still being held hostage.
Raichel who came to visit the family, had no idea Erez could lay the trumpet. but the two sat down and made music together.
"You've already met Rotem Calderon, whose brother, sister and father were abducted to Gaza, play with me, including in the crowdfunding campaign in Boston," Raichel wrote on Instagram. "Now meet our newest trumpet player, Erez Calderon, who came back from Hamas captivity along with his wonderful sister and immediately joined us with the trumpet. A beautiful image of victory, in the middle of a war."
