In an Instagram story, Tishby revealed that she was invited to a Hanukkah party at the Executive Mansion, attended by U.S. President Joe Biden. During the candle-lighting ceremony, Biden pledged to continue his efforts until all Israeli captives were released from Hamas captivity.
Biden and his wife Jill were hosting the traditional Hanukkah candle-lighting ceremony at the White House with 800 invited guests, including Holocaust survivors, members of Congress, politicians and Jewish leaders. The event was held amid the war in Gaza and the rise of antisemitism.
Tishby took the opportunity to decorate one of the Christmas trees scattered throughout the venue with the official dog tag issued as part of the Abducted and Missing Families Forum campaign, featuring an inscription in Hebrew saying "Our heart is held hostage in Gaza."
The slogan has since become a symbol in Israel for the struggle for the release of all the hostages held in the Strip.
