The control apps for BYD electric vehicles have been experiencing issues for several hours, preventing drivers from managing certain functions via their mobile devices.
Under normal circumstances, the BYD control app allows users to operate functions such as starting the vehicle and adjusting climate control from their smartphones.

However, in recent hours, several BYD car owners have reported to "Calcalist" that they are unable to control key functions through the app.
Despite this, the vehicle can still be operated manually, including starting the car with the mechanical key and adjusting the climate control physically.
BYD is the best-selling electric car brand in Israel and the top-selling Chinese car in the country. The cause and extent of the issue remain unknown at this time.
A local Israeli importer stated, "Upon receiving customer reports of app disruptions, we contacted the manufacturer to investigate the issue. We will update customers as more information becomes available."
