WhatsApp, the world’s most popular messaging app, has dropped an eagerly anticipated update, making it easier than ever to organize your chats.
If you use WhatsApp for both personal and work messages, take note: Meta has just rolled out a new "Lists" feature that lets you sort conversations into custom categories – much like folders in your email inbox.
These categories appear at the top of your inbox, alongside filters introduced earlier this year, such as "All," "Unread," and "Groups." The goal is clear: to offer an added level of organization and filtering, especially useful for those who rely on WhatsApp as their primary work tool.
Here’s how it works: To create a new list, tap the "+" icon in the filter bar at the top of the Chats tab. You can then name the list and select which chats – both group and individual – to add to it. If you have multiple lists, you can scroll through them using the filter bar.
The new feature started rolling out to users worldwide on Sunday. If you don’t see it yet, don’t worry – Meta assures it will be available to all users in the coming weeks. In the meantime, make sure you’re using the latest version of the app.
