Dolce & Gabbana has relaunched its makeup and cosmetics brand, and for the first time, it is now officially available in Israel. The products are being imported by Beauty & Co, part of the Schestowitz Group.
Initially, a capsule collection named Devotion, it will be available, featuring nine shades of matte liquid lipstick priced at 169 shekels, a mascara at 149 shekels, and a luminous powder highlighter at 229 shekels. As expected from a luxury brand, the prices are steep, though they align with those listed on the brand's official international website.
Dolce & Gabbana’s cosmetics journey began in 2009 but shifted to Shiseido ownership from 2016 to 2021. During that period, the brand focused primarily on perfumes, and its makeup offerings—characterized by bold leopard and floral designs—were less prominent.
However, in January 2023, Dolce & Gabbana reacquired its beauty division to align it with the founders’ vision: to directly manage the brand’s beauty segment and seamlessly integrate it into the fashion house’s collections and stores. This move made Dolce & Gabbana the first luxury brand to manage its beauty category in-house.
With the relaunch, the makeup design has taken on a more minimalist aesthetic, as far as can be said for the famously extravagant brand. The packaging now features gold tones and the Sacred Heart symbol—a Catholic emblem of devotion and unconditional love—interpreted artistically across the product line.
While the full range will not arrive in Israel until the first quarter of 2025, the Devotion collection offers a glimpse of what’s to come. Globally, the relaunch includes 152 products, many of which are not yet available locally, such as the Everlast foundation, Everkiss liquid lipsticks (of which the matte version is sold in Israel), glosses, balms, lip-plumping oils, blushes, eyeliners, blueberry tints, highlighters, bergamot primers, fig-scented powders, and seven nail polish shades.
The brand has placed a strong emphasis on natural ingredients, an unusual move for a luxury fashion house. For example, the mascara includes Calabrian oranges, the highlighter powder incorporates Italian grapes, and the matte liquid lipsticks feature Sicilian avocado.
One standout product not yet available in Israel is the Eye Dare You! palette, which contains 12 eyeshadows and is shaped like the brand’s logo. Notably, the ingredients list includes Italian cactus oil.
All the makeup is designed and manufactured in Italy, emphasizing the brand’s deeply Italian identity. Dolce & Gabbana plans to expand its beauty portfolio to 300 items by the end of 2025, including skincare products—all produced in Italy. It has also opened exclusive beauty and fragrance boutiques in Hong Kong and Harrods in London, with plans to establish 20-30 beauty corners in its luxury boutiques worldwide.
The company, which generates €60.5 billion in annual revenue with €1.5 billion in profits, aims to double its profitability to €3 billion by further integrating its beauty division into its fashion business.
