Elbit Systems has won a $60 million contract to deliver its modular ReDrone counter-drone solution to a European NATO member state.
Over the next three years, the company will provide advanced systems, including cutting-edge DAiR radar, SIGINT sensors and electro-optical imaging systems for day and night operations. These technologies will offer enhanced aerial situational awareness alongside sophisticated electronic attack capabilities.
The ReDrone system is specifically designed to detect, classify, and neutralize multiple unmanned aerial systems (UAS) simultaneously, across different communication channels, within a designated protected area. The system operates effectively in urban and rural settings, in all weather conditions, and can function both day and night. It also has the capability to be mounted on vehicles, enhancing operational flexibility for its users.
Strengthening global counter-drone capabilities
"This contract, awarded amid the growing threat posed by unmanned aerial systems, continues a series of successful deals in the counter-drone defense sector," said Oren Sabag, General Manager of Elbit’s Intelligence and Airborne Division. "We are proud that another NATO member state has chosen our solution, reaffirming the strength and efficiency of our system, which leverages advanced technologies in electronic warfare (EW), SIGINT, radar, and electro-optics."
Elbit Systems has recently secured several notable contracts for its advanced defense technologies, serving both the Israeli Ministry of Defense and international markets in Europe and the United States.
In November, the company announced a $335 million deal to supply defense systems to a European nation. The agreement includes the delivery of PULS rocket launchers and Hermes 900 unmanned aerial systems, both of which have seen increased demand worldwide due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
Two weeks later, Elbit won a $127 million contract to provide Iron Fist active protection systems for upgrading M2A4E1 Bradley armored personnel carriers for the U.S. Army. This follow-up contract will be executed over a period of 34 months.

In early December, Elbit announced a $40 million procurement deal with Israel’s Ministry of Defense to supply advanced drones and autonomous systems aimed at enhancing the operational capabilities of the Israel Defense Forces. This marked the ministry’s first order of drones from Elbit in this category.
Financial growth driven by global demand
The ongoing conflicts in the south with Hamas and the uneasy cease-fire in the north with Hezbollah, paired with rising global demand for advanced defense systems, have positively impacted Elbit Systems’ financial performance. In Q3 2024, the company reported a net profit of $100 million—a 30% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Revenues for the quarter reached $1.71 billion, reflecting a 14% year-over-year growth.
