Israeli actress Gal Gadot has been ranked the third highest-paid actress in the world in 2020, according to Forbes magazine's latest rich list, published Friday.
The Israeli actress earned a total of $31.5 million over the past year, including $20 million from her Netflix project, a comedy-thriller "Red Notice" - set to be released on the streaming platform in 2021.
The project, which chronicles the hunt for the world's most wanted art thief, is Netflix's most expensive feature film ever produced. It stars Gadot alongside Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
The rest of the actress's fortune came from the highly anticipated “Wonder Woman 1984,” which was initially scheduled to be released on June 5 but was postponed until December 25 due to the coronavirus crisis.
The pandemic crippled the movie industry in Hollywood, forcing crews to halt productions and causing release dates of many big-budget films to be delayed.
In the meantime, Modern Family star Sofia Vergara topped the Forbes chart, having earned $43 million in the past year, while actress Angelina Jolie came in second with $35 million.
In total, the world's 10 best-paid actresses in 2020 earned some $254 million combined in the 12 months leading up to June, which according to Forbes is a drop of 20% from the previous year.
