Hollywood director Quentin Tarantion and his Israeli wife Daniella Pick attended a special screening at Jerusalem’s movie archive theater, where the legendary filmmaker received a special present and for a brief moment even spoke Hebrew.
Tarantino and Pick attended the Jerusalem Cinematheque screening of a documentary QT8: The First Eight, which examines the first eight films from the acclaimed director and screenwriter.

The 56-year-old Tarantino gave a speech in front of a packed theater before the screening, saying this is the first time he’d be seeing the film with a live audience.
“Shalom, ma nishma?” (Hi, how are you?) the filmmaker told the excited audience before being presented an Israeli movie poster for his 1992 breakout hit “Reservoir Dogs.”
“Thank you, I love it,” said the director. “That’ll go up into our house in Tel Aviv,” he added as the audience cheered.
Tarantino then said he already owns the Hebrew posters for his films: Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained and The Hateful Eight.
“My editor, even though he’s an American, he acts like he’s an Israeli,” he said. “So the editing room is filled with all of our Hebrew posters, but he doesn’t have this one so I can lure this over him for a long time.”
The couple are currently expecting their first child and have been married since November 2018. Last month it was reported the two have rented a luxury apartment in central Tel Aviv.
