American pop group Maroon 5 is set to land in Israel for the first time ever for a single show in Tel Aviv on May 9.
The Tel Aviv concert, set to take place at Yarkon Park, will kick off the band's Middle East tour which will also include neighboring destinations such as Cairo and Abu Dhabi.
Ticket prices will range from NIS 365 for general admission to NIS 695 for golden ring seats.
Maroon 5 was formed in Los Angeles in the 90s during the peak of the grunge era by a group of high school friends.
The band signed its first contract in 2001 and has gone on to win multiple Grammys among numerous other prizes as well as scoring countless singles on the Billboard charts, including hits such as Moves Like Jagger, Misery, Sugar, and Girls Like You whose music video features Israeli actress Gal Gadot.
Throughout the years, band members Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, James Valentine, Mickey Madden, and Matt Flynn have created their own distinct musical style which combines flavors of rock and pop.
They have released seven studio albums which have gone on to sell more than 135 million copies worldwide.
By the end of its upcoming tour, the band will have performed in front of 7.5 million people in more than 750 shows in 30 different countries worldwide.
