The champions of the last three years' roster for the next season are expected to include several Jewish players from abroad. All six foreign players who played this season were expected to stay on for the next one and four additional players were in the process of becoming Israeli citizens under the law of return.
German-Jewish striker Erik Shuranov (21) is expected to join and has already undergone medical tests, along with the French-Jewish midfielder Laurent Abergel, the captain of Lorient.
One of the few options marked for joining among the Israeli players is Osher Davida from Standard Liège. The winger didn't fit the Belgain's squad and is expected to return to Israel.
Maccabi Haifa estimates that among the significant players of the season, the one who may leave is Mohammad Abu Fani, who has been given the green light to look for a new team. However, at this stage, no official request for him was made despite his release clause of one and a half million euros.
It is possible that Dia Saba, who has a contract for the next season with an exit clause to Turkey or the Emirates for 250,000 euros, will also leave in the coming summer.
