Ingredients for 8 big servings:
For the meatballs:
- Ground beef and chicken mixture (700 grams)
- 2 shallots or 1 small purple onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander seeds
- 3-2 cloves of garlic, minced
Read more:
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon smoked hot paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon finely ground sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Handful of chopped coriander leaves
For the sauce:
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons small capers
- 1-2 packs of fresh tarragon leaves, cleaned
To serve:
- Handful of fresh coriander leaves
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef and chicken mixture, chopped shallots or onions, ground cumin, ground coriander, minced garlic, sweet paprika, smoked hot paprika, sea salt, black pepper, and chopped coriander leaves until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through about 10-12 minutes.
- Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add capers and tarragon leaves. Cook for a few minutes until fragrant.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet, coating them with the sauce.
- Serve the meatballs hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
