Legendary metal band Papa Roach, who was scheduled to perform at the Summer in the City Festival alongside Robbie Williams in Tel Aviv, canceled their concert.
Producers of the event, which will take place on May 31st and June 1st at Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv, said that "Papa Roach will not appear for reasons unrelated to the production.
"All other festival performances will take place as planned," they said. assuring ticket holders that they would be reimbursed.
In the list of performances for the band, on its official website, the Israel event was never mentioned and the band members told Ze Rock Radio in answer to a question, that they had never intended to arrive.
Among the artists who are expected to perform at the festival are Robbie Williams, Sam Smith, Dutch DJ Martin Garrix, and British singer Calum Scott, who gained his fame on "Britain's Got Talent." Israeli artists Static and Nono will also perform.
Papa Roach originated in California in 1993. The band has released 11 studio albums, with the latest, Ego Trip, being released in 2022. In 2001, they were nominated for two Grammy Awards.
