American punk rock band Offspring are coming to Israel for the first time, and will perform at the Tel Aviv Expo on July 10!
Originally from Garden Grove, California, they were formed in 1984 under the name Manic Subsidal. The band's current lineup consists of founder and lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Bryan "Dexter" Holland, lead guitarist Kevin "Noodles" Wasserman, bassist Todd Morse and drummer Brandon Pertzborn.
They broke into the collective American consciousness in the mid-90s with hit singles "Come out and play", "Gotta get away" and "Self esteem", but they really became a household name with the smash hit "Pretty fly (for a white guy)", a song syndicated in every radio station in the U.S and around Europe.
Along with other notable California punk bands like Green Day, NOFX, Bad Religion, and Rancid, is often recognized for revitalizing the popularity of punk rock among mainstream audiences. With their global record sales exceeding 40 million, they have secured their place as one of the most commercially successful punk rock bands ever.
