Our advice - make double the quantity as this goodness disappears quickly. You'll be back in no time complaining about the heat unless you have a stash of these ice-cold delights in your freezer, ready to silence any complaints about the temperature.
Banana and berry sorbet
- 300ml milk
- 1 ripe banana
- 150g mixed berries
- 3 tablespoons natural yogurt (up to 3% fat)
- 3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
Instructions:
- Peel the banana and place it in a blender along with the other ingredients. Blend until you get a smooth mixture.
- Divide the mixture into 6 popsicle molds and insert a popsicle stick into each one. Place the molds in the freezer for at least four hours or until they are set.
• Remove a few minutes before serving for easy release of the popsicles.
Baked apple dessert with sorbet
- 1 Granny Smith apple
- 1 ready-made sorbet (banana, vanilla, or berry flavor)
Instructions:
- Thoroughly wash the Granny Smith apple (green and sour) and place it in a fireproof dish. Bake at a moderate heat of 180 degrees Celsius until the apple becomes tender. You can pre-bake the apples and store them in the refrigerator.
- After baking, remove the core and create a cavity. Take the sorbet off the stick and try to insert it into the apple's hollow space. The heat of the apple will melt the sorbet. Serve immediately.
• If you have pre-baked the apple, remove the core, heat it in the microwave for 20-30 seconds, and continue with the recipe.
• You can use any dietetic sorbet flavor you prefer in this recipe.
