Coldplay announced on Tuesday eight more UK dates in 2025—six of them at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium—as part of their ongoing world tour.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that the band’s ongoing tour, which began in March 2022 to support their ninth studio album, is now considered the biggest rock tour of all time, according to Billboard. Over the course of the tour, Coldplay has performed 160 shows worldwide, with stops across Europe, Asia, Latin America and North America.
Just last week, it was reported that the tour surpassed $1 billion in revenue, with 9.3 million tickets sold so far. Next month, the band is scheduled for 11 shows in Australia and New Zealand.
The eight shows in the UK will be the band’s only scheduled European performances in 2025. Ticket sales for these shows will begin on the morning of September 27.
This announcement comes on the heels of the unprecedented reunion of Oasis, who will perform seven shows at Wembley Stadium.
Coldplay is set to release their new album Moon Music on October 4, having already dropped two singles, feelslikemfallinginlove and We Pray, which features collaborations with Eliana, Little Simz, Burna Boy and Tini.
In keeping with the band’s environmental commitment, the Wembley shows will be powered entirely by solar, wind and kinetic energy. A specially designed battery system will provide power for the concerts, ensuring a fully sustainable event.
