Tatour posted on her Instagram story: "This is how a hostage looks after 9 months of captivity? Her eyebrows look better than mine! Her skin! The hair! The nails! For this innocent children and women had to be killed?"
Natour, producer of the program "Perspective," met Tatour after her disrespectful post and reprimanded her. "You can't write something like that, it's a happy day for the State of Israel," he told her. According to him, she replied that it was not her intention, and she also said that "Jews said similar things." Natour said that her response was irrelevant and that her words were unacceptable, and he immediately suspended her.
Shortly after, Keshet announced Tatour's dismissal.
"We strongly condemn the statements made by actress Lama Tatour today on social media. Tatour hosted the show 'Perspective,' a cultural program in Arabic on Saturday mornings with Elias Abboud," the announcement said.
Natour himself said in the official statement: "Tatour's words are unacceptable, and therefore her work on the program has been immediately terminated."
Tattour has not responded as to whether she regrets her words. Her Instagram account was listed as private."
