Prince Harry and Meghan Markle — though mostly Meghan — continue to make headlines overseas, this time for a royal tour in Colombia. During their four-day visit, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex mingled with the excited locals, who were thrilled to catch a glimpse of the royal couple.
The spotlight was firmly on Markle, who danced with local women and warmly embraced small children she claimed reminded her of her son Archie. In front of cameras she drummed along with everyone and showered Harry with affection.
The tour was part of the activities of the Archewell Foundation founded by the couple, to highlight the dangers facing young people on social media. They were greeted by Colombia's Vice President Francia Márquez, who decided to invite them to visit after she watched "Harry & Meghan" the Netflix docu-series, which she said resonated with her.
According to reports, a police Black Hawk helicopter and drone escorted the couple from the air, while nearby roads were closed to traffic. As part of the security measures, anti-terror units, an ambulance, and police teams were stationed outside the venue where the Duke and Duchess visited the Tambores de Cabildo music school—arriving more than an hour late.
