Former U.S. President Donald Trump expressed support on his social media Truth Social for Sheryl Sandberg's documentary film, "Screams before Silence," which exposes the sexual violence of Hamas terrorists during the October 7 massacre, and includes interviews with survivors of the attack including Nova music festival revelers as well as residents of Gaza border communities.
"The documentary 'Screams before Silence' is incredibly difficult to watch because, sadly, it graphicly portrays the death and destruction that Hamas has unleashed. I urge people to support the documentary and watch, if able. We demand that all hostages taken October 7th from Israel, and being held in Gaza, be released immediately, including eight Americans, and citizens from over 20 other countries, so that the war can come to an end. PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH!" Trump wrote on the social network.
Sheryl Sandberg, Meta's former COO, filmed a documentary in Israel a few months ago focusing on the sexual crimes committed by Hamas terrorists on October 7. The film includes various testimonies, from paramedics and rescue personnel present at the scene, as well as survivors.
At its center is the testimony of Amit Soussana, who was released from Hamas captivity. "I was chained for three weeks in Gaza, they kept me in a really dark room - without the ability to move. Whenever I needed to go to the bathroom I had to ask for permission," she recounted, describing how her captor sexually assaulted her and forced her to perform sexual acts.
According to Sandberg, "Screams before Silence" is the most important thing she has done in her life and everything she did led her to this moment. Meanwhile, several women's organizations around the world refused to acknowledge what happened in Israel on October 7.
Trump is currently in the midst of a presidential campaign, in which he caused a stir three months ago in Israel by calling to end the war in Gaza quickly. However, Trump changed his approach in a closed-door meeting with Jewish donors in New York, stating that he fully supports Israel's right to continue the war in Gaza, as reported in the Washington Post.
Over the years, numerous women have accused Trump of sexual assault. About six months ago, a federal appeals court judge in New York decided that he would pay $83.3 million in damages to journalist E. Jean Carroll, who sued him for defamation in 2019 after he denied sexually assaulting her, a matter in which he was convicted in a trial last year.
During the same trial, Jessica Leeds also testified that Trump touched her against her will on a flight in the 1970s, and Natasha Stoynoff said that Trump kissed her against her will when she interviewed him in 2005. The infamous 2005 Access Hollywood tape was also mentioned in the trial, where Trump was heard saying that famous people can do anything with women and "grab them by the pussy."
