"This year, he has been an important part of the team, always available. I don't think any of the comments or criticisms are justified," Galtier added.
Messi's last game will take place this weekend in the Ligue 1 clash against Clermont Foot.
Messi scored 21 goals and provided 20 assists for Paris St Germain (PSG) in all competitions this season. He moved to the French capital from Barcelona in 2021 on a two-year contract.

The 35-year-old player led Argentina to triumph in the most recent World Cup held in Qatar and won the Ligue 1 championship for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 seasons while playing for PSG. Additionally, in July 2022, he secured the French Super Cup.
The future of Messi remains shrouded in uncertainty, with three potential contenders vying for his services: FCE Barcelona, Inter Miami, and Al-Hilal.
Meanwhile, the president of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), Yasser Al Misehal, stated that he has no updates regarding Lionel Messi's potential move to the Saudi Pro League (ROSHN) tournament this summer, as reported by Arabi21.
"I have no information about Messi. Like you, I rely on media reports," Misehalinformed the Saudi SSC TV channel, according to Arabi21.
