For a burst of flavor and color, mix green and red apples. I opted for Granny Smith and Pink Lady, but feel free to experiment with your favorite fruits. You can switch the white wine for red if that’s more to your taste. Add a touch of extra spice, like anise, if desired. For an intensified cinnamon kick, consider simmering the apple concentrate with the cinnamon sticks for a few minutes in a small pot. Gradually add the apple concentrate, tasting as you go, and adjust to your liking.
Ingredients (serves about 10):
- 3 apples
- 2 bottles of white wine
- 5 cinnamon sticks
- 1 cup of apple concentrate (preferably natural)
- About 8 cups of ice
Instructions:
- Dice the apples into cubes (no need to peel them). Transfer them to a large glass container.
- Pour in the wine and add the cinnamon sticks along with about 3/4 cup of the apple concentrate. Stir well. Taste and add more concentrate if needed to suit your preference.
- Pile in plenty of ice and serve immediately.
Enjoy!
