Delta opened the first five Bath & Body Works stores in Israel, after a noticeable delay. The grand opening comes after opening two Victoria's Secret stores. Both chains opened without great announcements to in an effort to not offend during wartime and to avoid negative attention toward the international brands due to Israel's poor image on the world stage.
Five stores have opened throughout Israel: two in Tel Aviv, one in Rehovot, one in Netanya, and one in Haifa.
The chain sells car fragrance products, body creams, hand and face creams, perfumes, scented candles, soaps, shower gels and shampoos in a wide range of scents. The brand will compete with Israeli chains such as Laline and Sabon, which do not offer dozens of scents for each product.
In Israel, Bath & Body Works sells a variety of scents that every fan of the chain likes, such as Champagne Toast, At the Beach, Bourbon Strawberry and Vanilla, and many more. However, some products have not arrived in the country yet. For example, the store's sunscreen products, laundry scent fragrances, or certain series like Costa Rica and Bridgerton with scents from the series.
The prices are very high, although most stores offer a buy 3 get 1 free promotion. Car fragrance canisters are sold in packs of three for 60 shekels. Other products include a 295 ml shower gel for 69.9 shekels, a 259 ml hand soap for 39.9 shekels, and a 192 ml body lotion with essential oils for 89.9 shekels.
How do the prices compare to abroad? Generally, they are higher. A 141.5 gram Japanese Cherry Blossom soap bar is sold in Israel for 49.9 shekels and for 33 shekels on the American website without VAT. In Next stores in Britain, it is sold for 53.7 shekels and in Italy for 31.8 shekels or 2 for 39.8 shekels.
The American website offers first-time purchase deals and flash sales such as 15% off your purchase, and the Israeli website offers similar promotions to store promotions.
