Mishel Gerzig, Israeli model and fiancé of Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, was named one of the most influential women of 2023 by Ynet's "Women & Wellness" magazine.
At only 25, Gerzig is already a famous model with a successful international career, and upon being bestowed the title, she gave us tips from her healthy but balanced lifestyle.
The Israeli model and Belgian soccer star - set to seal the deal with a grandiose wedding in the near future - live in Madrid, together with his two children from a previous marriage.
However, Gerzig admitted that the Spanish tradition of siesta is not really her cup of tea and that she feels fully rested after a night of undisturbed sleep.
"Sleep is something that's important to me and if it were up to me, I would sleep 8.5-9 hours a night. But that doesn't always happen, because of my partner's kids, work, and travel," she shared. "If I sleep five hours, I'm a bit of a zombie."
Though her perfect features may lead us to think otherwise, Gerzig is a human being like the rest of us, and the first thing she does in the morning is checking her phone, and then - has a cup of coffee.
But when asked about any bad habits, Gerzig points to her sweet tooth and admits her love for chocolate. She has no intention of fighting that urge, she says.
"Mostly I have white bread with Nutella. But honestly, I have no desire to change that, it is part of who I am."
A good habit she recently picked up is exercising every day, even if it means only a short 10-minute workout. "This includes sets, stretches, movement," she says, adding that she really feels the difference ever since she started this regime.
Exercise, Gerzig says, is "an inseparable part of her day-to-day life.
"I love to incorporate exercise into my life and mix it up - walking, hiking, biking, skiing. I can certainly say it is a big part of life."
As for food, Gerzig says her diet consists of all kinds of foods - ranging from fruit to chocolates, and everything in between. She also says she is not into the trendy diets that emerge and believes balance and variety are most important in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
"A bit of everything without getting carried away by anything. When you feel good on the inside it shows on the outside, and vice versa. Balance is the name of the game."
When Gerzig looks in the mirror she says, she loves what she sees, and notes that "everything starts from loving yourself."
