Two years after Noa Kirel was announced to star in a Hollywood movie, which was shelved due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ynet has learned that the 22-year-old pop singer is set to travel to New York in April for the shooting of a new movie.

Kirel will portray a mechanic, the daughter of an Israeli father and an American mother. Her character unexpectedly enters the dance scene, and insiders indicate the $2 million movie will follow the stylistic cues of Step Up starring Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan.
Israeli producer Moshe Edri and Kirel's manager Roberto Ben-Shushan will participate in the funding of the move while Warner Bros. will be involved in the production.
The partnership with Warner Bros. emerged from Kirel's relationship with Len Blavatnik, owner of Israel's Channel 13 and Warner Music. Last summer, Ynet reported that Kirel would host the new reality show Star Academy on the channel. Following the agreement, Kirel and her management team met with Blavatnik, underscoring the close relationship between the parties.
