Reports surfaced last week that King Charles sought spiritual guidance to mend fences with his estranged son, Prince Harry. While you might think it doesn’t take a spiritual guru to suggest father-son reconciliation, the king and many celebrities regularly consult fortune tellers for advice, insights and maybe even some lottery numbers – not that they really need the latter.
In honor of the Friday the 13th that appeared on the calendar over the weekend, we delved into which celebrities seek higher guidance, from Princess Diana – whom we hope gave back her crystal ball – to Brad Pitt and Kim Kardashian. Time to burn a little sage, just to be safe.
'I told Princess Diana to be careful'
Since we started with King Charles and Prince Harry, it's only fitting to continue with another royal, Princess Diana. In 1992, Diana sought the wisdom of fortune teller Sally Morgan for life advice.
"Diana likely heard about me through a mutual friend," Morgan shared in a 2021 interview with The Sun. "She was just another client, but I sensed a deep sadness within her. William and Harry were just nine and seven at the time, and she was beginning her separation from Charles. Over the next four and a half years, we met in person four times, but had numerous phone readings. I charged her £35, just like everyone else."
Morgan revealed that Diana asked questions about her father, who had died that year, and whether she would ever become queen. "I knew it wouldn't happen," she said. "I told her she needed to be careful because I felt she might get into trouble. She was silent, listened intently, and I knew she valued my insights. In 1995, I predicted Diana would be photographed with a famous athlete and that a romance would develop – not long after, she was photographed with rugby player Will Carling, who became one of her lovers."
Morgan added that "Diana always worried about how her fight for independence might affect William, and our conversations often ended with, 'But William will become king, right?' I used to assure her that he would."
Morgan recalled August 31, 1997, the night Diana died, saying: "I was shocked and so sad. I hadn't spoken to her for a year because she started seeing Dodi Al-Fayed's medium, but there were no hard feelings between us. Four days after the funeral, Diana's sister, Lady Sarah Spencer, called me. She had been present during some of our conversations and reminded me of a reading I did for Diana in 1996, where I said I saw a queen being pulled from a car and resuscitated. At the time, I assumed it was Queen Elizabeth II and was troubled by it, although I didn't mention it to Diana. But Sarah believed I foresaw her sister's death since Diana was everyone’s Queen of Hearts. Although I didn't make the connection myself, I often wonder if she was right." Morgan also notes she was George Michael's psychic and still advises Uma Thurman and other politicians.
Sally Morgan and Brad Pitt's psychic connection
For over two decades, megastar Brad Pitt has turned to psychic Ron Bard, whom he met through his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. During Pitt's marriage to Aniston, Bard predicted that Pitt would meet someone who would completely change his life. Shortly afterward, Pitt announced his burgeoning relationship with Angelina Jolie.
In 2014, Bard told Pitt that Jolie would leave him, which turned out to be true. He also foresaw another marriage for Pitt, which we are still waiting on. "Ron said it wouldn’t end well with Angelina," a source close to Pitt shared, adding: "He kept this secret, and it ate us up inside. He really trusted Ron."
Shortly before Bard's prophecy came true, Jolie demanded that Pitt stop consulting his psychic. "Angelina doesn't believe in supernatural powers and can't stand the fact that the father of her children is placing his future in a medium's hands," a source close to the actress said, noting that Pitt sought Bard’s advice on everything – from professional decisions and spiritual guidance to matters of the heart. "It annoys Angelina – she feels Brad is overdoing it. After all, why not consult financial experts or an accountant about money matters? Why Ron? Besides, Ron advised Brad to divorce Jennifer Aniston, and he did it quite bluntly. Brad really listens to him."
Another source mentioned that Bard tried to smooth things over with Jolie and even offered to do a reading for her – but she refused.
'I told Jennifer Lopez to let go so it could return'
Another celebrity who doesn't make a move without spiritual guidance is newly single Jennifer Lopez. Despite her global fame, Lopez postponed her world tour three times because it clashed with her acting career. At one point, she began to doubt herself and her ability to go on such a tour until she remembered a reading from Jae Rae, who encouraged her to do it despite her fears, claiming it would help her grow and reach new heights – and it did. In 2012, Lopez finally embarked on her Dance Again world tour, which was a success.
Jae Rae is a medium who reads tarot cards and offers spiritual advice. "My biggest problem is that no one can define me – I'm very unique in what I do," she said in a 2021 interview with Bustle.
She met Lopez in 2010 when Lopez's production company, Nuyorican Productions, was looking for a medium. Once Rae was found, Lopez flew her to her Los Angeles home. Rae recalls arriving at the singer's home, where she gave Lopez tips that she immediately implemented. Rae refused to disclose the tips but mentioned that the two are still in touch today.
"J.Lo is a special friend; she loves, and loves to love, and she's the woman with the most open heart I know. Our conversations always focused on letting go of something so it could return." Did she mean Ben Affleck, who returned after two decades – only to leave again?
'One man will try to be with Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian'
Anyone who follows the Kardashian family saga knows that psychic Tyler Henry is practically family, especially for Kim Kardashian.
The first time Kim met Henry was in 2012 when she was pregnant with her first daughter, North, and sought tips from the medium for an easy and successful birth. Apparently, Henry's tips were quite successful because a few years later, in 2016, Kim and her sisters Kourtney and Khloe called the medium to help them communicate with their late father, Robert Kardashian.
And it continued: a year later, in 2017, Henry did a reading for Khloe and Kylie, telling them he saw someone trying to be with both of them. "Someone will try to be with one sister and then also with the other," he declared. At that time, Kylie was with Tyga, and Khloe was with Tristan. It's worth noting that Henry's prediction hasn't come true yet – but perhaps if he had said that a mutual friend would try to be with one of their men, it might have worked. Remember – Jordyn, Kylie's bestie, who got involved with Khloe's baby daddy.
And speaking of Tyler Henry – many Hollywood celebrities turn to him for messages, like Rebel Wilson, who had a reading with Henry, who revealed her younger sister was suffering from a serious illness that would last a long time. Grateful, Wilson was moved to tears by the information and guidance Henry gave her, telling her she needed to shower her sister with love.
Another (somewhat) famous person who turned to Henry's services is La Toya Jackson, sister of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, who shared in 2018 that she was receiving messages from her brother.
During Henry's reality show, where he visits celebrities' homes to give them life-changing advice, the psychic told La Toya that her brother longed to connect with her, coming as a loving brother who just wanted to communicate with his sister.
"It was one of the craziest experiences I had in a long time," the medium recounted, adding, "He just came, just a brother looking for closeness with his sister. It gave me a different perspective on celebrities."
And what did Michael have to say? Well, of course, like any good father, the guy just wants to ask La Toya to take care of his children, especially Paris, as he requested in the past before he died.
'The whole world will know who Taylor Swift is'
Another celebrity who had an unforgettable encounter with a psychic was Taylor Swift. The mega-star was just 12 years old when, during a party hosted by her father, a medium claimed that the whole world would know Taylor and that a brilliant future awaited her.
Two years later, Swift signed with her first record label, and by 2020, she had won her first Grammy. This is the moment to mention that our mom also once went to a psychic, who promised her she would own a restaurant and that we would be responsible for deliveries. Spoiler: It didn’t happen.
