Apple, Israeli public broadcaster reach agreement on airing hit show Tehran amid war

Over a year after filming wrapped—and eight months since Apple TV+ postponed release due to war—latest season of espionage drama expected to premiere in December

Eight months after its originally planned release date, the new season of the hit television series Tehran is set to air on Israeli public broadcaster Kan, following Apple’s initial suspension of the show's run due to the ongoing war.
Kan announced last April that they would attempt to persuade Apple to reconsider and approve an alternative release date—and they recently received the green light.

The third season of the espionage series, starring Niv Sultan, is expected to premiere on Kan around December, over a year after it was filmed and eight months past its original planned air date. Meanwhile, the fourth season is currently being written, with the creators asked to rewrite parts of it due to real-life events from the war resembling scenes in the series.
Tehran is co-produced by Kan and Apple, with previous seasons available on the Apple TV+ streaming service.
