Prince George, the firstborn son of Prince William and the former Kate Middleton, took his first flying lesson last week at just 11 years old.
According to foreign reports, last week George took his maiden flight from White Waltham Airfield in Berkshire on the final day of summer vacation. The flight lasted just under an hour, during which his proud parents watched from the ground.
"He loved it," said a source familiar with the details, adding that this is the perfect time to start. "His parents watched as he took off safely, closely accompanied by an instructor."
No comment has yet been received from Kensington Palace and the local West London Aero Club has also declined to comment on the matter. White Waltham Airfield is also where Prince Philip, George's great-grandfather, earned his flying license in 1953.
In fact, the royal family has a strong affinity for flying – George’s father, Prince William, received his flight wings from his father, Charles in 2008 after completing a 12-week flying course at the age of 26.
Despite his young age, preparations for the day when George will inherit the crown and throne from his father have already begun, as he continues to stand out and play a prominent role in all the public events he attends. His behavior continues to show that he's working hard and preparing well for his future responsibilities.
Debbie Frank, the late Princess Diana’s confidante and a well-known astrologer, shared some insights into George’s key traits that will assist him in his future role as king. "George is a Cancer, which means he is very sensitive and equally responsible," she said. "He does seem a little shy, but his late grandmother Diana and his uncle Harry were also shy in their youth – yet both blossomed into their royal roles."
When asked how George will be as a king, she said, "George will act mainly from the heart and not from the head. He will rely on his gut feelings and not on logic."
