Remember Donald Trump? The president-elect has surfaced with a surprising new look—a sharply styled hairstyle that’s stirring chatter across social media.
Earlier this week, the 78-year-old met with supporters at a Florida golf club, where his meticulously slicked-back hair stole the spotlight. Trump greeted attendees, asking jovially: "Is everyone having a great time? Are you all Republicans?" The enthusiastic response was as loud as his fresh look.
Just a day prior, Trump appeared at a press conference with his signature hairstyle still intact. It remains unclear whether his new style is the result of a haircut or simply some skillful combing and heavy-duty hairspray. Perhaps Melania knows the answers.
Of course, the internet wasted no time weighing in, offering the mix of humor and critique one would expect. One user quipped, “I’m getting a haircut tomorrow and asking for the ‘Trump 2025.’” Another likened the look to Buzz McCallister, the older brother from the film "Home Alone."
“He looks like an angry grandpa at the country club,” a third user teased. Another noted with backhanded praise: “He looks less orange than usual!”
Not all comments were kind. One user resorted to body-shaming, writing: “God, he looks awful. He’s probably over 200 pounds.” However, Trump’s loyal fans were quick to counter with admiration. “This hairstyle radiates a powerful, unique aura we’ve rarely seen,” said one enthusiast, whose username, “Johnny MAGA,” came complete with a verified blue check.
Another supporter claimed, “Swear he looks younger. I noticed it a few days ago too.” One user described the new look as “very dashing,” while a self-proclaimed hairstyle expert called it “slick and confident.”

However, some speculated the style wasn’t intentional. Instead, they suggested it might simply be the result of wearing a hat that flattened his hair.
The burning question even reached Fox News, where anchor Emily Compagno asked panelists for their thoughts. Compagno noted that Trump’s classic hairstyle has been a staple since the 1980s, calling it “one of the most iconic hairdos in history,” comparing it to the styles of Elvis Presley and Farrah Fawcett.
Interestingly, this isn’t Trump’s first foray into slicked-back hair. He briefly sported a similar look in 2019, drawing a similar wave of reactions before reverting to his signature style.
So, will this new look stick for the upcoming presidency, or is it just a one-time experiment? And more importantly, will it inspire a trend among his supporters, much like “The Rachel” did? Only time will tell.
