The massive wildfire that has been raging in Southern California since Tuesday night has been dubbed the most destructive fire ever in Los Angeles. So far, five people have been reported dead, hundreds injured, and 70,000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes, including many Hollywood stars.
Among the houses in the area was that of Israeli actress Moran Atias, who lives in Los Angeles, and early Thursday morning she reported in tears in a series of Instagram stories: "I need help, the fires have reached here. What a cursed year, enough already! They evacuated my house now, how will I get anything out? It's not real." She then added: "It's really scary and I want to thank all the angels who are going around with water and helicopters and trying to save our houses. I've calmed down, we'll be leaving soon."
Atias and her two-year-old daughter Lia were not living in the home at the time of the fire - they left it after the events of October 7th because Atias was afraid to live in a private home during such a dangerous time, so they moved into a building with security.
When Atias learned of the approaching fire, she drove to her to wet it down and try to prevent damage. In the videos, Moran shows the height of the flames and their proximity to the house. "That's it, they closed my street and now it's in God's hands," she wrote.
