On January 17, Kensington Palace surprised everyone with the news that Kate Middleton, the princess of Wales, underwent abdominal surgery, would remain hospitalized for two weeks, and would only return to public duties at the end of March.

Since then, 42 days have passed without anyone seeing or hearing from Kate. While the palace tries to conduct business as usual and sporadically updates that there is improvement in her condition, a Spanish journalist is convinced that Middleton is currently in a coma.
Royal enthusiasts suspect that William has left her for his lover, Rose Hanbury, while others are convinced that Kate has died and that the palace is just waiting for the right moment to announce the news.
"I've delved deep into conspiracy theories about where Kate Middleton is, and I need someone to get me out of there immediately. It's crazy here," tweeted someone named Madiha. Currently the tweet has garnered at least 8.3 million views and hundreds of comments and speculations about Kate's condition.
"I wish I didn't know she was missing until there are reports that she finally has appeared in public," tweeted Fortyacremule. "It's like getting hooked on a good TV series that's still airing and every time there's a new episode. I want all the information now."
Emma B, another user, decided to take the rumors a few steps further and responded, half jokingly, half seriously. "From what I understand, William is drunk and passed out, and now she's in a coma. She underwent plastic surgery and now she's locked in a tower because she won't sign divorce papers. I guess I missed a lot, but that's my theory."
"I'm also drawn into the speculations," tweeted another follower. "Whatever it is, she's probably very sick. The fact that William missed a very important event like his Sandhurst parade says a lot."
Dr. Una McIlvenna added: "It's not just her absence from the public eye that's worrying, but also the fact that neither her parents nor her children have been seen even once."
It's worth noting that someone who has been seen in public and didn't seem particularly concerned, is Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton, who was photographed frolicking in the sea in a vibrant white swimsuit, flashing cheerful smiles to everyone around.
On Tuesda, Prince William unexpectedly canceled his participation in the memorial service of his godfather, Constantine II King of Greece , shortly before it began. A few minutes after it was reported that William would be absent, another message came out of Kensington Palace stating that Middleton's condition continues to improve.
Unlike the princess, King Charles - who was diagnosed with cancer close to her surgery - has since been seen in public several times and even issued a message to the citizens. The last time Middleton was seen in public was last December, when she walked to church together with her husband and their three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, at Christmas.
