The glamorous annual Met Gala took place on Tuesday night, and Hollywood stars flocked to New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art in droves to be photographed on the green-carpeted steps adorned with foliage in honor of the evening's chosen theme: "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion."
Hollywood stars love to dress provocatively for extravagant events – and for the Met Gala in particular – which forced the event’s staff to assist several women in moving around. Cardi B, for example, enlisted nine men to help her move in the black dress she wore. When she reached the steps, the gentlemen hurried to stand, arrange her dress, and spread it out for all to see.
Gigi Hadid also showed signs of distress when she arrived at the event in a floral dress by Tom Brown. Although Hadid arrived alone, without her beau Bradley Cooper, a group of men in tuxedos came to rescue the anti-Israel princess in white and helped her navigate the carpet safely.
Grammy-winning singer Tyla arrived at the gala in a tight-fitting dress from the Balmain fashion house and had to rely on four assistants to climb the stairs.
This was Tyla’s first time attending the prestigious Met Gala, and it seems her choice of challenging dress definitely did the trick. A quick glance at social media platforms will flood you with funny videos of the singer being carried through the doors.
Singer Lana Del Rey also attended the event, wearing a beige dress designed by Seán McGirr of Alexander McQueen and it was impossible to ignore the net that surrounded her figure.
Another amusing moment caught on camera was when Kim Kardashian met Del Rey and attempted to kiss her, to no avail. Del Rey is considered one of Taylor Swift's best friends while Kardashian is her old enemy.
Speaking of Kim Kardashian, it's impossible not to mention her younger sister Kylie Jenner, who arrived at the gala in a form-fitting dress by Oscar de la Renta - and basically buried the rumors of her being pregnant by doing so.
However, the one who stood out by his absence was Kylie's boyfriend in recent months, actor Timothée Chalamet, which probably reignited rumors that the two are on the verge of breaking up.
Another exciting star who attended the event was legendary actress and model Pamela Anderson, who put on makeup in honor of the occasion - after years in which she decided to forgo it.
Anderson wore a champagne-colored dress by Oscar de la Renta, adorned with feathers that collected her hair, and maintained her clean look with minimal makeup - which according to insiders, consisted of only mascara, eyeliner, a little blush, and a subtle red lipstick.
Twenty-three years have passed since the last time legendary actress Meg Ryan climbed the steps of the Met Gala event. Wearing a floral dress designed by Michael Kors, Ryan captivated the audience.
The 62-year-old actress proved to everyone that not only does she improve with age - more importantly, there's no need to struggle with dresses that you struggle to wear without help.
