Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather visits Israel, shows support

The celebrated boxer, known for being among the earliest supporters of Israel after October 7, landed in Israel for a return visit as part of his global tour; 'Let's spread love and positivity together'
Floyd Mayweather, the renowned boxer, has once again visited Israel. Mayweather, who was among the first to voice support for Israel after October 7, has previously sent supplies – including food, equipment, and bulletproof vests – to the country. His latest visit to Israel is part of his annual global tour. Mayweather's support for Israel has been unwavering, and he has used his resources to provide tangible aid, such as sending a private jet filled with supplies for the IDF.

Addressing the October 7 massacre, he wrote: "I stand with Israel against the Hamas terrorists. Hamas do not represent the people of Palestine but are a terrorist group that are attacking innocent lives! I stand for all humans and wish for the safe return of all Americans and Israelis and any human beings that were kidnapped as hostages during these horrific war crimes. This is not a time for politics. This is a time for safety first and foremost. God Bless America. God Bless Israel. God Bless Humankind!"
The bond between Floyd Mayweather and Israel was first established over a year ago when he visited the country in November 2022. He was spotted at the Western Wall, browsing around in markets, seeking shawarma suggestions from fans, and being a guest at a basketball game between Maccabi and Hapoel Tel Aviv, thanks to his friend Xavier Menford. The image he shared in a post expressing his support for Israel during a time of conflict was from his visit to the Western Wall.
As a token of appreciation for his support for Israel, the 46-year-old sports star was recognized at a unique fundraising event in Florida in December, where he was bestowed with the title "Champion of Israel." Organized by "Friends of Magen David Adom in America," the event was attended by hundreds of guests, including Jewish celebrities such as actress Emmanuelle Chriqui and TikTok influencer Montana Tucker. The event successfully raised approximately $4 million for Magen David Adom.
