Eden Golan, Israel's representative at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, continues her busy schedule in the United States, speaking to ABC on Tuesday and sharing her feelings about performing on Europe's biggest stage.
"It was such an incredible, meaningful, powerful moment that I will truly never forget," she said in an interview.

"It was such an honor that I was chosen to be this year's representative at Eurovision for Israel in such hard and important times," Golan continued, "and yes, I had one goal and one goal only, which was to perform on that stage, give the best performance, represent us with pride, and not pay attention to what was going around."
When asked about the controversy surrounding her performance as Israel's representative, she replied: "There was a lot going on around my participation, there was backlash. Eurovision wanted to take us out of the contest and then our original song that we sent to Eurovision, named October Rain, they didn't approve it, saying it was too political, so we changed the lyrics and the song became Hurricane. There was a lot of obstacles we had to go through, but we did everything within our power to make it happen and show that we are here to stay and show our voice and love."

Golan also spoke about her new single, titled Older: "I wrote the song just from my heart about me and my life, how I went through different situations growing up from a young age in show business. It's tricky living in a foreign country. It was complicated. There were different situations that were out of my control that made me grow older than I should be."
Recently, Golan has spent considerable time in the United States. On October 7, she performed at the UN to mark a year since the Hamas terror attack and participated in two other events to which she was invited by the Foreign Ministry, for which she received a $22,600 payment.
