Australian actor Nathaniel Buzolic, a vocal supporter of Israel’s public diplomacy efforts since October 7, met with Yarden Bibas, whose wife and two children were murdered while in Hamas captivity.
In a social media post on Sunday to his 3.1 million followers, Buzolic shared his experience meeting Bibas and his extended family. "I had the honor & privilege to sit with Yarden Bibas and his extended family for a short period of time today," he wrote.
"They are a special family. Yarden somehow brought me peace from the moment he sat with me. He has a calm and courageous soul. You quickly realize he is an amazing husband, father and man. He will overcome. I believe it & I will make it part of my daily prayer.

We owe it to the hostages and We owe it to the Jewish people spread out all over the world. Follow @remember.bibas as a tribute to the beautiful Bibas family. Yarden my friend I am here for you for the rest of our days."

Bibas' wife, Shiri, and their two children, 4-year-old Ariel and 9-month-old Kfir, were kidnapped by Hamas during the October 7 attack on Israel and later killed in captivity. Bibas was taken captive separately during the attack and freed after 484 days in captivity.
Buzolic, who was honored with lighting a torch at Israel’s traditional Independence Day ceremony last year for his advocacy, has been actively engaged in efforts to raise awareness about the impact of the war.
