Argentinian 90s soap star spotted in Tel Aviv

Argentine actor and musician Facundo Arana was spotted in Tel Aviv on Thursday morning on his way to a morning show interview.

  • For those of us who don't feel like this name rings a bell, Arana was a star in the soap opera industry of the late 90's and early 2000's.

    Arana, 50 years old, has one various awards for television and theater, and is identifiable by his piercing blue eyes. The Argentinian actor, a husband and father of three, is also known for being an activist for several foundations, including one called Fundaleu, a foundation that fights against leukemia.
    The generations that grew up then, may get nostalgic gist thinking of the subpar soap operas that got a substantial amount of screen time, many of them telling stories of over-the-top Argentinian dramas.
    Amongst those featuring Arana were Chiquititas and Muñeca Brava, which starred Natalia Oreiro - an iconic Uruguayan actress, singer, songwriter, model, television presenter and fashion designer.

    Both soap operas were relatively popular were pretty successful in Israel.

    A few minutes before entering the studio for his interview he was snapped by the paparazzi on hand as well as a group of fans. He is in Israel for a concert, performing his newest single among many other favorites.
