Mark your calendars for an unforgettable evening as soprano enchantress Emma Shapplin graces the iconic stage at the Caesarea Amphitheater in Israel on October 14. Israelis can experience her magnificent vocal range, with ticket prices ranging from 249 shekels to 589 shekels.
Shapplin embarked on her musical journey as a classical soprano vocalist, but her artistic evolution led her to fuse opera with elements of pop, rock and electronic music. It was in 1997 that she captured global attention with the release of her album "Carmine Meo," selling over 2 million copies and earning platinum certification. This milestone marked her undeniable impact on the world stage.
Back in 2002, the hit song "Spente Le Stelle" gained widespread popularity as it became associated with the events of that year's World Cup, swiftly turning into a sensation. However, two years prior to that, it had already made its debut on the American stage as part of the soundtrack for the film "Red Planet."
Shapplin has since provided her fans with multiple albums, with her most recent offering, "Dust of a Dandy," released in 2014.
Having appeared on an Israeli stage on numerous occasions, Shapplin's most recent performance was held in January. Prior to taking the stage, she expressed her joy, saying, "Receiving such a warm embrace from the Israeli audience fills me with happiness.
"I truly sense the incredible energy emanating from the audience in Israel, and it's just great to return less than a year later. I am intimately familiar with the Caesarea Amphitheater, having performed there in the past, and I am eagerly anticipating the preparations for this extraordinary show in such a remarkable setting," Shapplin said.
