You will need:
- 2 large onions
- 15 walnuts
- 6 prunes
- 5 dried apricots
- 50 grams of raisins
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 5 bay leaves
- Chicken cut into 6
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
For the sauce:
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1–2 cups date molasses
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 200° C (390° F).
- Put onions cut into strips, nuts and spices and place the chicken over them.
- Mix sauce ingredients and pour over the chicken, cover with tin foil and bake for 60-90 minutes.
- Lower temperature to 180° and remove the tin foil.
- Base the chicken with the sauce and bake for another 15 minutes until brown.
