"The situation in the north is getting worse every day," said team official. "Unfortunately, we do not see our return to the north in the near future. The city of Kiryat Shmona is being beaten every day."
Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona has hosted its games at the Netanya stadium in central Israel since the outbreak of the Iron Swords war, and still managed to finish in first place in the national league this past season and return to the top league after only one season of absence. The team previously spent 13 consecutive years in the Premier League, during which it won every possible title: Championship, State Cup, Toto Cup and Champion of Champions.
